Who we are
VerifyBeforeHire.com is an independent lookup for public contractor license records. We are not the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. We do not issue, suspend, or reinstate licenses. Coverage here is Arizona first.

Public contractor license records
The Arizona ROC publishes an All Current ROC posting list and related public files. We load a dated copy so you can search a business name, ROC number, or trade.
That snapshot can lag. It can miss a change. It is not live authority. Always confirm the license on roc.az.gov or the official ROC contractor search before you hire or pay.
We do not create these records. The ROC does. If something looks wrong, use the government site.
What we collect
We do not ask you to create an account today. We do not ask for a password or a payment card on this lookup.
Your browser can store two preferences in localStorage: theme (light or dark) and language (English or Español). Those stay on your device until you clear site data or change them.
When you use the site, our host (Cloudflare) sees normal request data. That includes the page you asked for, your IP address, and your browser. Search text you type goes to our lookup API so we can return matches. We do not turn that into a login profile.
Cookies and third parties
This site can show Google AdSense when ads are on. Google may set cookies or similar identifiers. Ads are labeled Advertisement. They appear after the license answer, not as paid ranking in search. See the Google privacy policy.
Some pages can show labeled Sponsored affiliate links after the status answer. Those partner links are not live until a partner URL is set. If you click through, that company has its own policy.
We do not sell search ranking. License results stay in the same order whether ads or affiliates are on or off.
How long we keep things
Theme and language stay in your browser until you clear them.
Request logs are kept only as long as we need them to run and debug the service. Cloudflare and our cache hold short-lived copies of common lookups (minutes, not years). We do not keep a permanent account file, because we do not have accounts.
Public license rows stay in the snapshot until we load a newer posting-list file.
Children under 13
This site is for people checking contractor licenses before a hire. It is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this page. The current version is the one posted here.
