Arizona general contractor license lookup
Use this page when the job is a remodel, addition, or other work that usually needs a B-2 general residential (or commercial general) card, not only a specialty trade.
A roofing, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing license is not a substitute for a general when the scope needs a qualifying party who can pull the building permit. Search the dated ROC posting-list snapshot by business name or ROC number, check that the class matches the bid, then confirm on roc.az.gov.
If you are comparing more than one bidder, write the license number on each estimate. If you only know the city, try the ZIP finder. After monsoon or hail, a door-knocker who says they can “handle the whole house” still needs an active general, not just a tarp.
